Following is a list of Shawangunk Fish & Game Association's Calendar of Events.  Please be patient with the postings.  Final dates are not submitted to our association until the end of first quarter.  As soon as we received them, we will post them for your convenience.  Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter. 

SHAWANGUNK FISH & GAME ASSOCIATION'S CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Monthly Meetings:

• General Membership Meetings - held on the 4th Monday of the month @ 7:00pm sharp.

• New Membership Orientation - held 1 hour before General Membership Meetings.  If your signing up at the Orientation, be sure to have all your paperwork, fees and proof of identification available.  If you choose to pay by cash or money order, the New Member Kit will be provided that evening.  If your paying by check, you'll have to wait until your check clears to receive your kit.

• Board of Director Meetings - held the 2nd Wednesday of the month @ 7:00pm sharp.

Ongoing Events:

• Trap Range - Shawangunk's Trap Range will be open on Wednesday and Friday nights from 5pm - 9pm and Sundays 12 - 6pm.  The price will be $4.50 for non-members and $3.50 for members of the Trap Range Committee.  Ammunition, snacks and drinks are available at the desk.  For more information, call 845-343-3405.

• 3D Shoots - April 29, May 20, July 15 & Sept 9, 2012.  $12 adults; juniors free.  Shoots begin at 7am.  Any questions, call James Licardi (845) 590-3972.

• NYS Bow Hunter Education Classes - Mar 10 & 24; June 9 & 23, 2012.  Classes begin at 8am.

• NYS Hunter Education Classes - Oct 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2012.  Must attend two nights.  Any questions, call James Cole (845) 342-1344.

Upcoming Events for 2012:

• Jan 28 - Ice fishing contest (ice permitting).  Breakfast & registration 7-9am.  Fishing from 9am - noon. Lunch & prizes noon-1pm.  $20 adults; $10 12 and under.  Contact:  Brian (845) 283-7163.

• Mar 24/25 - Club clean-up.  Starts at 9am.

• Mar 24 - .22 Rifle Shoot.  Details to follow.  Contact Edwin @ (845) 401-9276.

• Apr 1 - Trout season opens.

• Apr 21/22 - NYS Youth Turkey Hunt.  Adults & juniors 12-15 yrs.  Turkey permits required.

• May 1 - Turkey season opens.

• May 19 - Veteran's Appreciation Day.  Need HELP!!!

• June 17 - "Take Your Dad Fishing Day".  Details coming.

• June 23/24 - NYS Free fishing days (fresh & saltwater).  no license required.

• Aug 10 & 11 - Cub Scouts Camping & Fishing for Merit Badges.

• Aug 25 - Hosting Black Rock Flea Market

Pavilion & Club House Use Schedule:

• July 28 - Private party scheduled.

• New Club Contact List - a new club contact list has been created to address specific areas of club business.  If you have any questions regarding these listed topics, please direct your questions and contact to this contact list found here and on the contact us page of our website. 

• New Turkey Hunting Rules for 2012:  the new rules for turkey hunting for this year will be posted on club property effective immediately.  Please make sure you read them prior to hunting. 

• The "new" pistol range is now open to the right of the rifle range.  Kindly limit the shooting to to pistol only and please clean up brass, targets, etc...  A roof covering will be installed ASAP.  Thank you Edwin, Julio & Tom.

• Effective immediately, the club is using a new email address.  It is shawangunkfishngame@yahoo.com.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via phone or this email.
